2022 Substate Basketball

Teams have been seeded and brackets set for this year’s substate basketball tournaments.
The Burlington Wildcats and Lady Wildcats will compete in a Class 3A Substate tournament hosted by Prairie View and held at La Cygne. The Lady Wildcats are the No. 4 seed in the girls’ bracket with a 12-6 record and the Wildcats are the No. 4 seed in the boys’ bracket with a 11-7 record. The tournament will begin with quarterfinal games Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 28 and March 1. Good luck, Wildcats and Lady Wildcats!
The Lebo Wolves and Lady Wolves, Hartford Jaguars and Lady Jaguars, Southern Coffey County Titans and Lady Titans and Waverly Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will compete in a Class 1A Division II Substate tournament hosted by Lebo. In the girls’ bracket, the Lady Wolves are the No. 1 seed with 17-1 record, the Lady Jaguars are the No. 2 seed with an 11-8 record, the Lady Bulldogs are the No. 3 seed with an 11-9 record and the Lady Titans are the No. 4 seed with a 9-11 record. In the boys’ bracket, the Wolves are the No. 1 seed with a 12-6 record, the Bulldogs are the No. 2 seed with a 10-10 record, the Jaguars are the No. 5 seed with a 4-15 record and the Titans are the No. 6 seed with a 3-17 record. The tournament began Thursday, Feb. 24, with boys’ quarterfinal games in which Hartford and Waverly picked up wins and SCC took a tough loss. The tournament continues Friday, Feb. 25, with girls’ quarterfinal games.
